Last year, due to the excess of rainfall that happened in Kurnool, all fields near Kundu river were destroyed due to floods. Thousands of acres turned as barren land all of a sudden and farmers faced huge losses due to those rains.
On the orders of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, a total of 1034 farmers were listed as the people who lost their crop due to those floods and the CM ordered the officials to distribute 1 crore and 19 lakh rupees to the people who faced severe loss.
In the same list, there are 122 framers from the Bheemunipadu village and the government-sanctioned Rs. 13,78,400 to all the victims. But, the gram volunteer of that village Ram Gopal Reddy listed ineligible farmers who are his close acquaintances in that list and handed the same to the officials.
Now, the real victims got aware of the injustice that happened to them and came to know that Gram volunteer Gopal Reddy took those funds sanctioned to them in the name of fake victims. When they complained and argued to the officials, the agricultural officers got to know their mistake and ensured the farmers that they will recover every penny from Ram Gopal Reddy and compensate them at the earliest.
