Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to move on from his Corona hangover and to complete his long-lasting wish which is the AP capital shift from Amaravati to Vizag.
To make Visakhapatnam as the executive capital, Jagan, on the advise of Swaroopanandendra Swamy from Vizag’s Shardapitam, has fixed the Vijaya Dashami as the auspicious day to perform the capital shift activity. Jagan has pre-planned everything as his house is arranged in Greyhounds in Beach Road and his Camp office is likely to be situated at the same place.
There are certain challenges for Jagan for this capital shift. The high court is very much repulsive on the AP government and the cancellation of the legislative council bill is still pending in the parliament. In the form of the Nimmagadda issue and Dr. Sudhakar’s case, Jagan has a lot on his plate already.
Long back, Jagan’s government proposed the three capitals idea for the Andhra Pradesh under which Amaravati will be adjusted to legislative capital status and Kurnool will become judicial capital as per the G.O issued by the government which was countered by the legislative council.
