Amara Raja Batteries commits 9,500 crore investment in Telangana. Amara Raja Giga Corridor envisaged in Mahaboobnagar’s Divitipalli Industrial Park aims to produce Lithium Cell and Battery Packs with 16GWh and up to 5 GWh capacity. This project will create 4500 jobs in Telangana’s and India’s most budding EV industry.
CapitaLand Investment in Telangana – India’s Largest Data Center
Singapore Capitaland commits to 6,200 crores of investment in Telangana. As per the MoU with the Government of Telangana, Capitaland will set up India’s largest DATA CENTER of 36MW in India. The 2,50,000 sq ft data center will be at the International Tech Park Hyderabad(ITPH) in Madhapur. This is Capitaland’s second data center in India after the first one in Navi Mumbai.
‘FLO Industrial Park’: India’s First 100% Women-Owned Industrial Park in Telangana
Minister KTR inaugurated ‘FLO Industrial Park on 8th March 2022 in Sangareddy. This ‘FLO Industrial Park’ is the country’s first 100% Women-owned Industrial Park in India. This park is led by FICCI Ladies Organization(FLO) in partnership with Govt of Telangana. FLO Industrial Park is set up on 50 acres of land with an initial investment of 250 crores. In a bid to support women entrepreneurs, the Government of Telangana announced the 10% reserved plots for women entrepreneurs in all the new industrial parks.
Tandur Red Gram- Telangana’s Latest GI Tag
The GI application filed by the Yalal Farmers Producers Company on Sempter 24, 2022 got approved by the Geographical Indication Registry under the Department of Industry Promotion and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University has led the process of acquiring the GI tag for Tanduru Red Gram. With this GI tag, the total number of GI tags in Telangana has reached 16 while the total number of GIs in India stands at 432. The unique feature of Tandur Red Gram is that it has 22-24% of protein, better taste, and longer shelf life.

Cheriyal Scroll Painting
Cheriayal is an ancient art form from Telangana. Cheriayal scroll paintings are from Cheriyal village of Siddhipet District. Very similar to Pattachitra and Phad Paintings, Cheriayal scroll paintings depict pictorial narratives from epics like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Garuda Purana, Markendeya Purana, and other epics and mythological texts. The unique feature of Cheriyal paintings is that they are all made from natural sources. Cheriyal Paintings got the GI tag in 2007.
Balder Bandi- A Book On Banjara’s Lifestyle
Balder Bandi is a book on Banjara’s lifestyle written by 22-year-old Ramesh Karthik Nayak. He comes from a remote village- Nizamabad District, Jakranpalli Mandal, Viveknagar Thanda. Recently he was in the news again as Andhra University announced that ‘Balder Bandi’ will be part of the MA Telugu Syllabus at AU University. Previously ‘Jarerbati’ a poem from Balder Bandi was included in Kakatiya University autonomous colleges’ 5th-semester syllabus. Other books written by Ramesh Karthik include Davlo (Gore Banjara Stories), and Kesula(First Gore Banjara Story).
India’s Largest Floating Solar Power Plant in Telangana
India’s largest floating solar power plant is developed on 450 acres of balancing water reservoir of NTPC in Ramagundam. The project is developed by BHEL for a contract of 423 crores. 4.5 laksh of made-in-India photo voltaic cells were used in the project with 4 units each with a capacity of 25MW(total 100MW capacity). NTPC also has a floating solar plant in Kayamkulam Kerala(93 MW) and Simhadri Andhra Pradesh(25MW).

Aeronautical engineer Sirisha Bandla, Booker prize-winning author Geethanhali Shree, Social worker Sneha Jawale, and actor-producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas are the 4 Indian women listed in the BBC’s most influential women in 2022 list.
Sirisha Bandla born in Gunutur of Andhra Pradesh is the second Indian woman to go to space with the Virgin Galactic Unity mission. Sunny Leone – 2016 100 Women laurette- nominated Sirisha Bandla.
Mrs World 2022- Missus World 2022 Winner
Sargam Kaushal from Mumbai won the Mrs. World 2022 Title. She is the second woman to win the prestigious title after 21 years. Aditi Govitrikar is the first Indian woman to win the title in 2001. Sargam Kaushal won over Mrs Polynesia(runner-up) and Mrs Canada(3rd place).
Rishi Rajpopat Decodes Complex Panini Code
Panini is considered the father of Indian linguistics. Many scholars have failed to decode a complex problem in Panini’s grammatical rules. Indian origin Rishi Rajpopat solved this complex problem in a thesis published by him named ‘In Panini, We Trust: Discovering the Algorithm for Rule Conflict Resolution in Ashtadyayi’.
Eturunagaram Wildlife Sanctuary – Key Points
Eturunagaram Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the oldest sanctuaries of Telangana. Located in Mulugu District, it is on the border of Maharashtra and Chattisgarh. Famous Sammakka Saralakka Jathara is held in this Sanctuary. It is declared as a Wildlife sanctuary by the Hyderabad Government on January 30, 1952. River Godavari passes through this sanctuary that has rich tropical deciduous trees like Teak that are up to 60ft tall.
